KEN'S CUSTOM KNIVES

Ken crafts every custom knife from high quality steel blanks and select handle material for a knife built for years of service.  

Ken developed his attention to detail while building custom fly rods for discriminating Clients. These skills have transferred to building custom knives where attention to detail is demanded. 

Knife blanks used are made from quality steels ranging from 440-C stainless steel to 1095 high carbon steel to D-2 tool steel. Damascas steel used in some knives are layered 440-C or 1095 sourced in Ohio or obtained from vendors nationally. 

Handle material include locally sourced woods (hickory, walnut, oak, maple), Spetra-Ply or Dymondwood, acrylic scales, micarta. G-10, and custom sourced scales. Handle materials are selected based on quality, strength, character, and application.

Custom display knives are also available. Shown is large Bowie Knife with dyed curly maple handles with star pins. This knife also include a custom fit leather sheath. 

Customers can find Ken's Custom Knives at several outdoor shows throughout the year.
